Wireless carplay

So I have a 2020 Ford puma which has a wireless charging pad, I’d love to be be able to get Wireless CarPlay but the sync 3.5 doesn’t allow this yet. If Apple eventually go down the route of a port less iPhone This will prevent me from being able to use my CarPlay as I won’t even be able to connect via the cable, do you think apple will have thought of this, maybe allow data sync via the iPhones MagSafe charger to allow the CarPlay to work ?
