Why aren't certain common apps not available on App store from my laptop, yet they are on my iPhone? My system software is up to date (10.15.7) Catalina.

iOS is the operating system on iPhones and iPads, not on Mac computers. Their app will only run on iPhones and iPads (and they also have one for Android phones and tablets). They do not have an app for computers. Instead of an app, use the internet browser on your Mac (e.g., Safari) and go to their website -- https://www.ccls.org/

Many developers make apps for iPhones, iPads, and Android devices but not for Mac or Windows computers. In many of those cases they want you to use their website rather than an app for similar functionality on a computer.

Thanks very much for the quick reply. The app in question is Chester county Library app which says it's an app for IOS. That's why I couldn't understand the problem. But if it's a laptop issue, then that's something else, I suppose?
