i forgot screen time passcode and i am trying to erase all data

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! Thanks for posting about being unable to reset your Screen Time passcode. We'd be glad to see how we can help you out with that.
A great place to start would be following the steps in If you forgot your Screen Time passcode, as they deal specifically with forgotten passcodes. If you've tried that and it didn't work, or if you still need to erase the device, let us know at which point you're getting stuck, and we'll go from there.
