Brightness Slider does not work after changing date time

I have iPhone 12 mini, in Date & Time settings when I turn off the "Set Automatically" option -> change the date --> and after few seconds when I again turn on the "Set Automatically" option, the brightness of the screen automatically gets either dim to too bright, and the brightness slider stops working.

Following are the images for the same. In the first 2 images, the brightness slider is set to 0 or around 30% respectively but in both the cases the brightness is fully dim. In the 3rd image, the brightness is set to 0 but the screen is fully bright. Can I request someone to please help me understand whether this is the issue with all iPhone 12 or just an issue with my device? I also have 6s and 11 with and they do not show this issue
