I went to Apple store to get Big Sur upgrade for iMac late 2009, OS High Sierra & it states the 11. version cannot be downloaded on my imac. Is there another version? Or, how can I get upgraded? Thank you

There is no version of Big Sur that can be installed on a 2009 iMac. The last upgrade for a 2009 iMac is OS X 10.13.6.
