WHY IS MY MIC NOT RECORDING IN LOGIC? PLEASE HELP ME!
Hey guys, if you know a fair amount about audio this question is for you.
I have a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd gen, an MXL 770, Logic Pro 10.6.1, and an M1 Macbook Air, and Apogee Groove DAC.
I have tried adjusting the gain settings, the system preferences audio settings, the MIDI controller settings, I tried getting the Pro Tools First subscription that comes free with my interface and screwing around with every combination of settings in the "pro tools aggregate IO", I tried adjusting settings in Logic, watched hours of tutorials, talked to my professor, and I CAN NOT GET MY MIC TO PICK UP SIGNAL IN LOGIC!
My exact rig works on my iPad pro in garageband, AND in voice memos I was able to get it to work too. But no combination of settings is allowing me to record audio in logic. I am extremely frustrated, especially since this is essential to my workflow in my conservatory music classes and my grade relies on my ability to record.
My interface gain knob is showing me that it is recognizing signal, and I have had success in the past with this exact rig. I really would appreciate if someone could take the time to help me out.
My midi controller works. I was able to record in Logic and lay down a piano track just fine, but now I can not do acoustic guitar or vocals because NONE of my mics are working in Logic. Please help me.
