Can no longer add cities to weather app

Since around beginning of 2021, I can no longer add cities to the weather app on my iPhone 8+. The add button no longer exists...only the find button. See screenshot below.

Please help.

just wish Apple wouldn’t keep changing things for change’s sake and rather focus on just changing to make improvements.

We understand that you'd like to add more cities to the Weather app, and we can help. To clarify, are you able to use the steps below to add a new location?

"To add a city to your weather list:

Tap the location icon , then tap the Spotlight icon .
Enter the name of the city, zip code, or airport location.
Tap the city, then tap Add."
