I can't connect my AirPods to my iPhone 6

AirPods Gen 1 requires an iPhone with iOS 10 or later. Make sure that you are on the latest version of iOS. Check the version of iOS by going into Settings > General > About and your iOS version will be shown under Software Version.

If your iPhone's software is outdated, please update it to the latest version of iOS: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If you are still unable to connect to your AirPods despite being on the latest version of iOS, please reset your AirPods: Reset your AirPods - Apple Support

Try making sure you are on iOS 10 or later. If you are then turn on Bluetooth. If it still doesn't work then try to turn your phone off and back on. If it still doesn't work then get a replacement or go to a Apple certified repair center.
