Update to Big Sur with older Mac book Pro

I own a 2010 MacBook Pro 13inch, it is updated to a 256 ssd with 8gigs of ram. How can I upgrade to Big Sur? I know for reading of course certain older models are unable to but why when I am running the components that is able to handle the update.

You cannot upgrade a 2010 MacBook Pro to MacOS Big Sur. These MacBooks do not have the correct components and power in order to run the firmware. There are ways to get around this, but the methods could potentially harm your MacBook so I suggest you just leave it. If you want to take advantage of Big Sur properly, then you will need to buy a new MacBook Pro.
