Hi, I've got a mid 2011 imac. What is the most up to date operating system I can run on this computer? Thanks.
High Sierra is as far as that machine can go.

Please remember a 2011 is now 11 years old, long past it's prime. You may want to consider replacing the computer to a new or newer model that can support Catalina and Big Sur. If that is of interest you have many options available to you.
Thanks. I wanted to use an operating system that could handle open source video editing software. A few seem to be Catalina or newer.
