My apple pencil 2 is getting hot and will stop working within a minute. The pencil is fully charged.

Something maybe wrong with your Apple Pencil.
Either contact Apple support via the link at the top right-hand corner of every Webpage of these support communities
OR
Search online and locate your nearest, “local” Apple Store location and call them to make an appointment to bring your Apple Pencil 2 into the store for diagnostics and possible options.
If this Apple Pencil 2 is less than a year old, you maybe entitled to another replacement Apple Pencil 2.
