Changing an Apple ID from Third Party email to iCloud.com email address

If I change my 3rd party email address in my iCloud account (and @gmail.com address) to an existing iCloud account email address (a new icloud.com address) which accounts purchases will remain? The account where the change is being done (the original @gmail.com account)? Or the account of the new iCloud.com email address?
