iCloud email

my iCloud email address is receiving unwanted SPAM and I want to cancel the email account

You can create rules for incoming spam mails and move to trash https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/icloud/mm6b1a3f8a/icloud

Can create iCloud mail alias https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/icloud/mm6b1a490a/icloud

And you have no control for incoming mails they will be received if mail address is revealed to them , deleting the account https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208504 from server is not a solution , as you will loose the precious mail account .
