Exporting to Quick Time Movie - Normal Size Changing

I recently captured some SD video in FCP using NTSC Format (DV-NTSC), but when I export the video using Quick Time Movie the actual size of the video seems to be getting smaller. When I view the file info it still says 720x480, but when I review the Movie Properties in QT Player the Normal Size is now 655x480?

Did I make a mistake when the video was captured or am I doing something wrong on Export?

iMac Core 2 Duo 2.33GHz, Mac OS X (10.5.2), FCP 7.0

DV is non-square pixels: rectangular. Your computer monitor has square pixels. The rectangular pixels are typically .9 the width of the square pixel. And 655÷720≈.9

Sounds like QT is trying to display your pixels in a manner that is consistent with the playback monitor: your computer screen. I think things are A-Okay and you've probably captured things properly. If you want to alter how QT displays the movie then open the movie, push ⌘+J. In the resulting pane there's a "Presentation" tab. Then there is an area that says, "Conform aperture to" and a selection box. You can toggle through these settings to alter the appearance of the movie in question. If you go to "encoded pixels" then the movie should appear to be 720x480.

Here's more on the topic.

Just note though, you're NOT altering the pixels themselves, you're only changing how QT displays them.
