How can i get my old IPod touch to connect to my itunes when it is disabled?

im having trouble with connecting my old IPod to my ITunes on my laptop. I have plugged my IPod in through the laptop and it will not connect because i need to unlock the IPod but i cant as its disabled and has been for a while now. How do i solve this problem?
