Get the Linkey 'hijack browser' off my Mac

How do I get rid of this nonsense? I saw a few posts in here on it but none were really conclusive. Anyone have success in getting this off their Mac and if so, can ya share with me? Thanks a million!

Browser Hijacker Hi, I have a browser hijacker which I cannot seem to get rid of. I updated my mac with the recent update and that got rid of the hijacker for a while but now its back. The hijacker is on google chrome however I do not have the option to remove it from default. Any help? Is there a software compatible with Mac I can install to help?

Browser hijacker My MacBook Air 14.0 has a browser hijack. My normal default is google but it changed to search. I can not delete it in manage search engines and I can make google my default but it only goes to search engine how do I get rid of it and if I need a malware or spyware app what one should I use?

Mac browser hijacker removal Looks like my mac has been infected with browser hijacker (Safe Finder) in safari and chrome (those are the two that I generally use). Primarily, I use google.com search engine. Even in a google search, I am redirected to yahoo search and looks like "Searchengdetection.com" is being used. I did all the preference reset in both Safari and Chrome. In Chrome, I see that I cannot remove the search bar (screen shot attached) I have SEP running on my mac but that doesnt seem to be doing it. Upon an internet search, I see a lot of recommendations to run different "mamlware cleaner" programs. I am very wary of all these programs. Experts of the community- please suggest a malware/adware/browser hijacker cleaner that is safe to use. Is there anything apple recommended?
