iMessage not sending in iMac

iMac not sending messages to recipients. Blue bar begins sending and times out. Constant problem.

In that case, let's try these settings:


  1. If you know your WiFi Password, go to System Preferences > Network > WiFi > Advanced > Select your WiFi name and hit the minus sign.
  2. Click OK.
  3. Reconnect to your WiFi network in that same window.
  4. Go to the "Messages" app > Click "Messages" (in the top left menu bar) > iMessage > Sign Out
  5. Sign back into iMessage
  6. Try again
