Apple watch screen has become too dim to read
Series 1 watch is now so dim, I can't read it in normal light.
latest updates etc..but still too dim to read and use..curious

I found this Apple article for watchOS 5 (Adjust brightness, text size, sounds, and haptics on Apple Watch - Apple Support) I understand that you are on watchOS 3 (they didn't have an article for that OS version) but the article could still be applicable.
