I got on my pictures to upload a new profile picture on social media, when I did all of my pictures were gone and I haven’t updated my phone or anything. Is there anyway I can get them back

Check the Recently Deleted File and your iCloud account. If they are not there and you have not backed them up to your computer, an external drive, or another cloud service, they are probably gone for good. The time to create a back-up is BEFORE catastrophe strikes. After is too late!
