Encrypted & unreadable text messages in iPhone 12

Since yesterday, the text messages sent by amazon for 2 step verification arrives encrypted and unreadable. The other text messages arrive fine. Amazon told it was an issue with my iPhone or IOS.

What can I do to be able to read the messages?

Text messages dont show on computer anymore? Used to get a text message from a '2-step' verification that showed up on my computer and all I did was click the notification banner and the code was inserted in the verification screen. Now It doesnt work anymore. What / where do I look for the proper setting on my iPhone and Mac mini? I-phone XR OS 15.4.1 MAC mini Running Monterey 12.3.1

Contact your cellular carrier to try to determine what night be going wrong.

SMS messages are not encrypted to the recipient, only to the cell tower.
