Translate app not working

I’ve seen that other people noticed the Translate app not working on iOS 14.2. The questions were too old to add an answer so I’m adding it as a new question. Mine too had frozen on 14.3 on iPhone 12 (amazed this device doesn’t show on Apples pull down list of iPhones yet!). However, after removing the offline languages and turning off ‘translation on device’ in Settings it started working again.

I Re downloaded the languages and it also worked fine. But when I re-enabled ‘On device mode’ in settings the app didn’t work again. What finally brought it back was turning off Allow app to access mobile data. Then the app worked. And it worked again when I turned that setting back on.

So maybe the solution is to toggle off and on again the mobile data setting for Translate. If that doesn’t work just try using the app between toggling off and on.

Perhaps a glitch?
