How do I stop notifications from spam?

I've gone into settings and enabled "Filter Unknown Senders" but all the info I can find says there should be an additional option to silence notifications. I don't currently see that?

Not sure if relevant, but the spam is originating form an email address and sent as a group chat.

Which means every person that requests to be removed gives me a notification. I have received about 5 or 6 spam group chats today, and about 40-50 "stop" requests from strangers. I'd really like to disable notifications.

Hi there BringM,

We understand you'd like to turn off notifications for a group message, and we'd like to share a resource that can help.

Take a look at it here: Change message notifications on iPhone

Specifically, the "Mute notifications for a conversation" section may help.

This page may also help: Block, filter, and report messages on iPhone

Cheers!

Hello Raina, I think you might have misunderstood my question. I want notifications for messages, I do not want notifications for filtered out messages.

To rephrase my problem, I am getting spam from email addresses that are sent to 20 phone numbers in a group chat. I am one of the 20 people. So each person that replies with "stop", "unsubscribe" or whatever- my phone will notify me of their reply. I have the conversation filtered but I am still getting notifications.

With multiple group chats being sent each day, I am getting literally dozens of irrelevant notifications.

Man I'm really not explaining this well. Each time somebody replies to the group, it splinters that message into a seperate group chat. I'm not sure if it's because the person replying isn't using iMessage, or because the message is filtered out, or because the group originated from an email address, or something else entirely. But it sounds like from your suggestion, if I want to end the notifications I'll have to continuously hide the alerts of every splintered conversation that begins because somebody replied to the group? Or I can go into the group list and manually block the numbers of everyone involved?

Here is a video illustrating what I'm talking about.

You can see me open up several chat windows- each one contains no chat history. But when I explore the recipients of the chat, I can see the numbers are all the same and they all reference the email address that began the chat.
