My husband has dementia and I need to set up his devices without the email icon; it confuses him. I have read some people saying some icons can't be removed but I WAS able to remove it from his iPhone. Also, my phone and iPad (both newer than his iPad) give me the option to remove the email icon.

if if you want permanently delete the email icon you can touch and hold it after in left corner of the email icon it will appear a cross mark and you can delete it permanently.

I can do that on all my newer devices but his icons will only "jiggle" and no x comes up on the left corner. I'm wondering if it's because he has an older (5+yrs) iPad?
