That is somewhat unfortunate. Do you still have the computer you originally used to add the music to it, or a backup? iTunes syncing is generally from computer to device, not the other way around. There would have been a warning that you were going to replace the content of the device with that of the local library. Had you stopped then we could have discussed methods of recovery, but it is too late now.
