I would like to use my AirPods Max for other devices using the Lightning to 3.5mm setup. I tried the lightning to female 3.5mm dongle with a 3.5mm male to male cord on Nintendo Switch and laptop. It didn’t work at all.
I tested the dongle using old Apple 3.5mm earbuds and iPhone 12 Pro, they worked fine.
Has anyone tried connecting AirPods Max using lightning to 3.5mm cord to any other devices yet? Does it work? Does the mic work?

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are trying to use AirPods Max wired.
This is not a feature, as AirPods Max are fully wireless. The Lightning to USB-C is for charging only. More info can be found by following this resource.

Judysings - The Lightning to 3.5mm wire is sold by Apple for the purposes of connecting by wire to airplane entertainment systems and game consoles. My issue is whether this wire will allow the use of the mic not just audio.
