What's the best way to import my old Mini DV tapes to my computer keeping them at the highest quality possible? Is premier pro cc the best option? And if so, why can´t I airdrop the .MOV files. Are they too heavy?

What Apple equipment do you plan to use? We can get your question moved to a more active and appropriate forum section if we know that.
This section is supposed to be for reporting issues with using the forum software and does not get as many views as the technical forum sections.
For one thing you cannot airdrop mini dv tapes because they are not on an Apple device.
I don’t use Adobe, so I cannot say and I have never dealt with mini DV tapes. You may or may not need a converter. If you do want to use Adobe, best look at their system requirements, looks like 16 GB RAM are recommended.
Once I have the mini dv video captured in my computer .mov it wont let me airdrop it and save it on my phone, it only lets me save it to files. When I use imovie to download the same mini dv, i can airdrop it and save it in the photo folder, Maybe its way to heavy.
Perhaps what I need is the setting for adobe premier to capture the minidv videos.

Sorry, but I really don't know since I've never used Adobe or Mini DV.
As for it being too "heavy", you are probably correct: the file size is most likely too large.
