Another vote for LibreOffice as improved supported document formats and update cycles than OpenOffice. I have had LibreOffice installed on my Macs since it evolved from Oracle's spin-off OpenOffice. Also Open Office, Libre Office came from Open Office. I use Open Office, almost a complete clone of Microsoft Office.
