Safari has started requiring a login for every tab

Safari has started sending me to website login pages whenever I open a page in a new tab.

For example, if I'm logged-in to a site and I open a second tab to look at a link on the same site, I'll have to login again.

I'm not using Private Browsing.

All help gratefully received - this problem is driving me up the wall!

Ok, turns out I was using Private Browsing, it just wasn't obvious enough that I noticed it. Ho hum.

Either way, creating a new window without Private Browsing fixed the problem.
