Accessing Blackboard on my MacBook Pro

My university uses Blackboard for all the courses and assignments. For months I have been having trouble accessing this website on my computer! Sometimes it will work and sometimes it will not. I will include a picture below of what my screen shows me. I have tried clearing the cookies, data, and cache. This has happened to me while I am connected to a different wifi connection so I do not believe that is the problem. I cannot seem to find the direct source of the problem. If anyone could help me resolve this issue it would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with accessing Blackboard on your Mac. We'd like to help.

Are you accessing Blackboard on Safari or another web browser? If you are using Safari, are you getting the same time of error message if you try to connect to another browser. If you click on the link that says "Checking the proxy and the firewall", does it give you any suggestions?

If you can’t open a website in Safari on Mac, complete these troubleshooting steps to see if it helps.
