what if i set a screen time passcode and i did not back it up with apple id
my child entered a screen time passcode on her iphone and ipad and did not back it up with an apple id. What can I do to reset the screen time passcode?

Yes you wipe the device to factory settings. and by back up to apple I assume you mean this If you forgot your Screen Time passcode - Apple Support if that link doesn't work,, you follow the link I first provided.
