Transfer of data to a replacement iPad simply requires that you restore your iCloud or iTunes backup to the replacement iPad. The data restore can be invoked during initial set-up of the new iPad. If your existing iPad remains functional, other methods can also be used to transfer data directly from old to new iPad.
