iPad screen dims when stopping youtube video

I teach math sharing my iPad screen with my students in Zoom. We watch youtube videos that I prerecorded. Every time I stop the video to discuss a concept in more detail my iPad screen dims. I worry that some of my students will have a hard time seeing what is on their screen while I explain a concept in more detail.

Is there a way to prevent the screen from dimming when stopping a video? I have an iPad Pro and run iPadOS 14.3.
