iPhone text messages unwanted

I am getting text messages on my iPhone that appear to be repeated how can I find out the source they are coming from to stop them or is this a question I need to ask my service provider?

I block the numbers following the steps listed in Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.
