Remove MDM

I'm trying to remove my MDM from my sons iPad.

I had it through my business MDM but his new school needs it removed.

I have unenrolled it in Jamf Now and released it in Apple BM but on his device it doesn't give me the "Remove MDM" option.

Can anyone help?

So because I unenrolled in instead of removing management this has basically caused an error?

I can easily do a factory reset then reinstall everything from iTunes backup but will a factory reset even get rid of the MDM?


Actually I just checked with a device that is still enrolled and "remove" management isn't even an option. Options are: Unlock Device, Unassign, Unenroll, Erase, Restart, Shut Down.


I feel like Unenroll is the only one that makes sense to remove MDM. And it removed it from Jamf Now so seems like it did what it was supposed to do?
