Hi Amybevkep,
Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. Sounds like you are not seeing the Emoji keyboard on your iPhone 8. Has it been added in Settings? You can go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards, then tap Add New Keyboard and select Emoji.
