How do I uninstall Sogou Input off my mac?!!

Years ago when I was taking Chinese I I downloaded sogou as my pinyin input. It worked fine. Recently I bought a new mac which I set up using a backup from my old computer. However this computer keeps sending error popups that say “SogouInput” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified." When click to move the application to the trash I then get a pop up that says “SogouInput” could not be moved to Trash. Please move this item to the trash manually." Which then when I press close opens the previous box, and the process continues. I have tried searching for this app and I CANNOT find it anywhere except the activity monitor. I have tried talking to apple and they recommended contacting the developer but I cant get through. These pop ups are driving me crazy. Can anyone help?
