Inbox mail messages disappeared after 14.4 upgrade

I am currently using and iPhone 7 Plus. After updating last night to 14.4 - all of my old emails are missing. When I go to the actual AOL site older emails and still there. Why is my iPhone not showing old emails only unread new ones since update and how to I retrieve them?
