Activation Code

I just recently sold my Apple Watch and it is asking the buyer for an activation code needed to erase it from my account. I went into my devices and the watch is not showing up anywhere. I did a factory reset before I sold it and I thought that would've cleared everything. How do I get the activation code if the watch isn't showing up anywhere under "my devices"?
