How to delete temp files

How do I delete temp files that are on my MacBook Pro?

I don't know where they're located. I assumed they're temp/junk files because they are labeled as other on the storage info screen.

Oddly, you have assumed wrongly.

Other is just stuff that Spotlight couldn't identify, rightly or wrongly.


Use a tool that can actually help you find what is using up your storage.

GrandPerspective has a graphical display.

OmniDiskSweeper has a numeric/hierarchical display.

Use the one that works best for you and don't delete system files willy-nilly.
