Series 3 apple watch update

I am unable to update my series 3 apple watch and I can't find anything that helps. I have deleted all of the apps, the old update files, anything stored on the watch basically and it still says that I do not have enough storage space to update the watch. It's been a few months and it just can't update and I'm not sure what else I can do.
