Apple ID App Store

I’m trying to update my apps and it keeps asking for my mom’s apple id password. I keep trying to find where my account it set to her ID but I don’t know where it is. Is it because we used to be linked years ago and those apps still require her ID password? If so what do I do?

You are correct. The apps that were downloaded from the App Store, in the past, with your mom's Apple ID have remained under that Apple ID. Any time that you update those apps then the App Store is asking for your mom's Apple ID password.

Open Settings ➔ Apple ID (Your Name at TOP) ➔ Media & Purchases : This should have your Apple ID email address.

You can delete those apps that require your mom's Apple ID and Password and download them again by ensuring that your Apple ID email appear in the section mentioned above.
