Apple pencil tip wear

Ive been using my apple pencil for almost 2 months, and not a lot. I's say maybe 30 minutes a day. I have a glass screen protector and i expected it to last much longer - is there any thing i can do to minimise the wear? Its only worn down on the tip - i can only use it straight on as i does not respond if i hold it at an angle. When should i replace it? When it stops responding entirely? Or when i can see more of the metal inside - i can only see a tiny point worn through right now.

The Pencil tip is a consumable item - that should be replaced as soon as wear becomes evident. Never use a Pencil whose tip has worn to the extent that any part of the metal transducer is visible - as you may damage both the pencil and iPad screen.

The surface upon which the Pencil is used - and the pressure that is used by the user - will significantly affect the rate of wear.

Replacement pencil tips are available from Apple in pack of four.
