apple ID reset

ive been trying to reset my apple ID password since i dont remember it, but everytime i check the email there no email regarding the reset of password

I didn't get me reset Apple ID password last Thursday, Feb 10th, I requested to reset my Apple ID password. There was a reply that I should get an email to my Apple ID mail account in 24 to 48 hours to reset me password. Till now, I didn't get any reply. Is that OK or do I have a problem with my Apple ID? Should I try doing it again or does each request will result in further delaying the reset email from Apple? Can it take so long without getting any help on my account?
