Apple Store Private Security
Can Apple stop using ex police officers as private security?
Had a horrible experience at Apple retail store today.
Went to pick up my iMac and the private security guard said I can't pick up without an appointment.
- Can't make an appointment online to "pick up."
- Apple doesn't require appointment to pick up.
- The security guard and I got into an argument and he told me I couldn't enter without an appointment. I told him to go ask the manager and he came back and said the manager said I needed an appointment.
- Went home, made an appointment for repair and went back 3 hours later. New security guard lets me in and the employees and manager tell me I don't need an appointment for a pick up.
- So the security guard probably lied to the manager cause he didn't like me.
This security guard is also an ex police officer. Or so he said. And Apple has these people and their main customer contact. These security guards are generally very low intelligence types of people. It was a horrible horrible horrible experience.
I told them they should have an Apple employee outside and they said they don't because of Covid. What a joke!
The Apple store at Bayshore Mall in Glendale WI. has a 3.8 on Google reviews and now I know why.
