Ref: a single midi region on a single track.....

I have CC data at the beginning of a region ie. MSB/LSB/Volume/Pan/Reverb - any combination of them.

I cut the region in 1/2 let's say... ( let's call them region A and region B) - after the cut.

At the start of the B region you will find those cc's commands that were at the start of region A....

They exist now in both regions

How can I disable this behavior ?

The solution to disabling this behavior is to type the following command into a terminal window

defaults write com.apple.logic10 AlwaysCreateStartAutomationNodeInSplitRegion NO

I agree, it's annoying. I don't know when and why this was introduced. Even there might be a reason for that, it feels like a bug for me and many others. It would be nice to have the ability to set/change this behavior in the preferences or song settings.

/bump - If you have 16 midi tracks and you are cutting and making edits you can create 100's of unwanted duplicate cc's - Does anyone know of a way to not have this happen ?
