Hi I recently lost my iPhone and I’m trying to erase my data on the phone. I bought a new phone and SIM card and I went on “find my iPhone” and clicked on “erase iPhone” option. My question is, can the old phone erase the data without internet?

Your old iPhone is going to be able to receive your command to erase itself. The command is transported over the internet. If you old iPhone does not connect to the internet then there is no way to receive the command and therefore it will not erase.
