The iPhone 12 has more lenses. These artifacts are the result of reflection of the light on the lens. Many say that you can minimize it by changing the angle of the shot, but I cannot say. I don't take a lot of photos at night in lighted areas with my iPhone, so I cannot really comment more than that. Good luck.
