Apple ID Verification

my phone was reset and I can no longer access my Apple ID on any devise (mine or my partners) because once I put password in it wants a verification code but it is being sent to a trusted number I do not recognise. I don’t know what to do because I can’t access my iCloud at all without putting this code in?? Can I fix this as I’ve lost all my stuff without icloud
