iphone unable to activate

bought a UK used iPhone in Nigeria. few months (3-4 months) after, I bought a new sim card then insert into my iPhone. since then, my iPhone start showing ''NO SERVICE AND SEARCHING" . the a message displayed on my screen that I should update IOS to the latest iOS. I did that, ever since I've not been able to activate my iPhone
