Display dimming with Auto-Brightness off

I’ve just recently gotten a iPhone 12 Pro and it has started to dim the display from full brightness to half (50%) brightness whilst Auto-brightness is disabled. The phone isn’t getting warm like all the other question answers are suggesting is happening and I’ve tried turning Auto-brightness on and off to see if it does anything but it doesn’t change it.

Just wondering what could be causing this to happen?

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).
